We have unique and enviable human resources and port facilities that we aim to make available, where appropriate, to members of the public.  We often allow our facilities to be used for events, free of charge.

The annual Cowes Week is one of the largest of our contributions to the community.  The logistics and safety responsibilities of maintaining the smooth running of such a large event at a port as busy as Southampton, while ensuring all other commercial vessels are in transit, are immeasurable, but we fulfil them. Preparations for the racing season are more or less a year-round task, but, considering the immense popularity of these events with the Southampton people and the sailing world in general, we are more than willing to continue our involvement in this area.
