ABP is ultimately owned by ABP (Jersey) Ltd, a limited liability company domiciled and incorporated in Jersey. ABP (Jersey) Ltd is owned by a consortium of investors comprising Borealis, GIC, Goldman Sachs and Prudential.

Borealis

Borealis is the infrastructure manager of the Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System (OMERS), a Canadian multi-employer pension plan whose members are mainly employees of Ontario municipalities, local boards, public utilities and non-teaching school board staff. The fund has more than 355,000 active, former and retired members. The OMERS group manages and administers a substantial amount of funds with net assets of approximately C$41 billion at the end of 2005. Borealis holds its share of ABP (Jersey) Ltd through Borealis (Luxembourg)SCA and Borealis Investments General Partner Inc.

GIC

GIC is a global investment management company established in 1981 to manage Singapore’s foreign reserves. GIC invests internationally in equities, fixed income, money market instruments, real estate and special investments. Today, GIC manages assets of more than US$100 billion and strives to achieve good, long-term returns on assets under management to preserve and enhance Singapore’s reserves. GIC holds its share of ABP (Jersey) Ltd through Cheyne Walk Investment Pte Ltd.

Goldman Sachs

Goldman Sachs is the leading global investment banking, securities and investment management firm that provides a wide range of services worldwide to a substantial and diversified client base including corporations, financial institutions, governments and high net-worth individuals. Goldman Sachs has had more than two decades of experience as a private equity, real estate, mezzanine and proprietary investor with over US$42 billion of equity raised through various vehicles. Goldman Sachs holds its share of ABP (Jersey) Ltd through Admiral Global & International Sarl and Admiral Institutional Sarl.

Prudential

The Prudential Group is a major global financial services group with £234 billion of funds under management (as at 31 December 2005) and is a long-term investor in the infrastructure sector. Prudential’s stake in ABP is held through Infracapital Partners LP, the infrastructure fund of the Prudential Group which was established to make investments in cash-generative infrastructure assets, including electricity and gas transmission and distribution networks, water and sewerage companies, and transport infrastructure including ports. Infracapital is managed by M&G Investment Management Limited, but manages its investments independently from the other divisions of M&G Investment Management Limited and the Prudential Group. M&G has been a major shareholder in ABPH since privatisation in 1983. Infracapital holds its share of ABP (Jersey) Ltd through Infracapital Nominees Limited.
