Around 252 UK manual grade employees elect to conduct negotiations through our voluntary national recognition agreement with the TGWU (2004: 300).  In 2005, we put in place a three-year agreement covering collectively bargained pay settlements for the period covering 2004 to 2006.

From time to time we use temporary staff.  We ensure that any temporary workers – as with our employees – receive health and safety training appropriate to their role.
